Keto Comfort Foods

Food should be comforting, especially when you’re seriously needing some comfort and security! And who doesn’t relate? They provide us with pleasure and make us feel better, if only for a little while. Keto comfort food is all about the great taste you remember from your childhood, but without all the carbs. Remember when Mom, Grandma, or Dad cooked one of your favorite meals when you were a kid? The aroma, the anticipation, and then – that utterly delicious flavor! Truly scrumptious food fills not only the stomach, but excites the senses as well.

Comfort foods brings us back to a simpler time when, as a child, the world seemed far less complicated. Mom and Dad took care of the big issues – providing us with hearth and home, and as children, we were mostly consumed with what brought us fun and enjoyment. At least that how most of us remember. Yes, we had homework and a few chores to do, but we didn’t worry about the big stuff. Comfort food was very much a part of our lives, and we tend to associate specific recipes to members of our family – Grandma’s mashed potatoes smothered in butter, Mom’s chocolate cake, Aunt Betty’s fried chicken. Special occasions like birthdays, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, are frequently associated with comfort food, providing fond memories we can all embrace. I can still smell my Mama’s peach fried pies, and see her beautiful smile, and feel her embrace. This is what comfort food is all about.

My personal favorite comfort foods, adopted from my Mama’s own recipes, are every bit as delicious and a joy to serve today as they were when I was a child. The carb-laden recipes have been replaced with keto-friendly, low-carb ingredients, while retaining the aroma, the richness, and the taste that only comes from a well-crafted meal. We test each and every recipe several times before they’re published on our site. Our mantra has always been to keep recipes simple and easy to prepare, while retaining exceptional flavor and texture. We aim to please the tastebuds of both adults and children, and our hope is they become a part of your family’s traditions. Please enjoy these timeless classics in your home today. All recipes can be printed and stored to your phone, tablet or any paper printer.
